So as most of you would have known by now, they’ve closed the Macdonalds at East Coast Park for redevelopment purposes – and if I’m not wrong, for the entire area at Marine Cove.
It makes me really sad when I see pieces of history get destroyed like this. And all we have left are memories that we can hold on to. The video below is a testament to that 😦
Plus these redevelopment works are all coming in waves. First the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, then Bukit Brown Cemetery, and now this.
Anyone who knows me, knows that Macdonalds is a huge part of my life. Mostly because of their fries. But I wouldn’t want to become like her though
Back to my point, I really adored the drive-through at that outlet – it was the go-to destination for late dinners after concerts/shows, to fulfill random Mcflurry cravings, and for my serving of fries (I remember my dad driving me there to get some whenever I was upset). It’s a place filled with good memories of meetups and skate-throughs (how awesome is that?)
Now I hope they won’t destroy my beloved Macdonalds at Siglap. Yeah, I used the word DESTROYYYYY.
And so, I dedicate the two pictures below to Mcdonalds at East Coast… goodbye!
